چکیده

The ability to create subsurface images whose amplitudes are proportional the elastic wavefield variations recorded within seismic data as a function of reflection angle is fundamental for performing accurate amplitude-variation-with-offset (AVO) analysis and inversion. A process that generates such commonly referred true-amplitude migration. We have determined how extended subsurface-offset image space able preserve behavior primary reflections when these events acoustically migrated with reverse time migration approach performed in least-squares fashion. Using single-interface model, we determine angle-domain amplitude from an extended-offset closely follow theoretical Zoeppritz response even at critical angle. Furthermore, develop subsalt synthetic test which 1C ocean-bottom-node (OBN) used regularized linearized waveform inversion procedure. In this test, highlight acoustic extended-angle domain correct reflected three sand lenses. Our method allows elastic-wave parameter reservoir characterization oil gas exploration production. its performance on OBN field set Gulf Mexico AVO potential gas-bearing prospect correctly retrieved.

Linearized Extended Waveform Inversion

The extended model concept links migration velocity analysis and waveform inversion. This abstract presents a method to solve a partially linearized version of the full waveform inversion problem with model extension. Linearization separates the model of the earth into the smooth long scale background model and the short scale model. Extended waveform inversion allows the short scale model to d...

Linearized Rays , Amplitude and Inversion

In this paper, ray theoretical amplitudes and travel times are calculated in slightly perturbed velocity models using perturbation analysis. Also, test inversions using travel time and amplitude are computed. The perturbation method is tested using a 3-D velocity model for NORSAR having velocity variations up to 8.0 percent. The perturbed amplitudes are found to be in excellent agreement with t...

Iterative linearized migration and inversion

The objective of seismic imaging is to obtain an image of the subsurface reflectors, which is very important for estimating whether a reservoir is beneficial for oil/gas exploration or not. It can also provide the relative changes or absolute values of three elastic parameters: compressional wave velocity Vp, shear wave velocity Vs , and density ρ. Two ways can achieve the objectives. In approa...

Migration Velocity Analysis and Waveform Inversion

Waveform (output least squares) inversion of seismic reflection data can reconstruct remarkably detailed models of subsurface structure, and take into account essentially any physics of seismic wave propagation that can be modeled. However the waveform inversion objective has many spurious local minima, hence convergence of descent methods (mandatory because of problem size) to useful Earth mod...

Stationary Phase Approach To True Amplitude Migration

True amplitude migration is a di raction stack with a properly chosen weight function in its migration kernel. Many papers claim that with a carefully chosen weight function, di raction stack migration will yield an image with its amplitudes proportional to the angular-dependent re ection coe cients at the re ector positions. Bleistein used the stationary phase method to give a proof of this cl...
